Just where Jamarra Ugle-Hagan plays football in 2026, if at all, remains a mystery.
The former number one draft pick is contracted to the Bulldogs for next season but the expectation around the football world is that the talented but troubled forward will depart the club.
Rival clubs are understandably wary of recruiting a player who spent most of 2025 away from his club as he deals with complex personal issues, but the prospect of getting a cut-price deal on the star left-footer will no doubt be tempting.

They haven’t met him yet, and still quite a few hoops to jump through. But they haven’t ruled out bringing him in via a trade.

While Ugle-Hagan is contracted for next year, meaning a trade would need to be agreed, it's been widely reported that the Bulldogs wouldn't stand in the 23-year-old's way if another club was interested.
Ugle-Hagan has booted 102 goals in 67 senior games since being taken with the first pick in the 2020 draft.
Despite spending most of this season training away from his Bulldogs teammates, Ugle-Hagan has continued to make headlines, including most recently being caught up in a shooting outside a Melbourne nightclub.
