With the 2025 AFL season done and dusted, clubs are now honouring their best performers.

While some appear to be a mere formality, with one star player leading the pack, others look to be wide open.

After each game, the Senior and assistant coaches review and rate each players performance out of 10. Votes are polled in games where a player's performance has been deemed of a high quality by the coaching group. And unlike previous seasons, all matches are counted towards their final total.

Gold Coast - Club Champion

Brownlow Medal winner Matt Rowell added a maiden club B&F to his list of honours, taking out Gold Coast's Club Champion award.

Rowell won by a single vote from his best mate and club captain Noah Anderson, with Touk Miller just one more vote back in third.

Per GWS Giants: Under a new voting system this season, line coaches rated their respective players after each game from a pre-determined performance scale.

All line coaches then met to determine an overall rating for each player before submitting to head coach Adam Kingsley who allocated up to six (6) votes for each player.

Club Champion votes are awarded by the coaching staff. A player can be awarded a maximum of 50 votes per game, and coaches can allocate up to 10 votes for as many or as few players as they deem appropriate, per match.

West Coast - John Worsfold Medal

In his first year in the west, former Richmond premiership star Liam Baker took out the John Worsfold Medal for 2025.

The rebounding defender was a runaway winner from Reuben Ginbey in second and Harley Reid in third.
