Jamarra Ugle-Hagan: The AFL club he wants to play for in 2026 image

Bulldogs star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan wants to play for the Sydney Swans when he returns to the AFL in 2026, according to reports.

The 23-year-old hasn't played an AFL game for the Bulldogs in 2025 as he works through issues with his personal health.

As the gun forward prepares for next season with training at a health retreat, a report from Tom Morris on Footy Classified suggests Ugle-Hagan prefers to head north to continue his AFL career.

“The Western Bulldogs are weighing up what they do next with him,” Morris said on Footy Classified.

“My understanding is Jamarra has told those close to him he would like to play for the Sydney Swans next year, in a perfect world.

“Whether that takes place, whether the Swans are keen or not, I’m not sure. The Dogs would have to trade him, because of course, he’s contracted.”

Despite Ugle-Hagan's want to join Sydney, the Swans are yet to signal if they want the 2020 no.1 pick to join their club.

However, the battling Swans have struggled in attack this season and arguably were short of a quality key forward last campaign on their run to the Grand Final.

Ugle-Hagan would be the fifth marquee forward to join the Swans in recent times with Tony Lockett, Barry Hall, Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett all heading north after being successful at their original clubs.

Geelong have also shown an interest in Ugle-Hagan, with Tom Hawkins retiring last season and Jeremy Cameron the wrong side of 30.

The Cats are also the closest club in location to Ugle-Hagan's home town of Framlingham, near Warrnambool.
