Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has not ruled out Adelaide as a possible destination after a report suggested the St Kilda star had blacklisted the Crows because of a previous racism saga.

The Saints gun is currently deciding his AFL future with his options either staying at St Kilda or returning home to South Australia with Port Adelaide or Adelaide.

A report from Caroline Wilson on Monday night's Agenda Setters stated Wanganeen-Milera would not join Adelaide because of a racism incident that occurred between former captain Taylor Walker and SANFL player Robbie Young,

Walker was suspended for six matches and was fined $20,000 for making a racist slur toward Young during a SANFL match in 2021.

“My understanding is that if Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera does leave St Kilda — and that’s not certain, and Stephen Silvagni (Saints list manager) and Ben Williams (Wanganeen-Milera’s manager) are speaking on almost a weekly basis — he won’t be going to the Adelaide Football Club,” Wilson said.

“And one of the reasons he won’t be going to the Adelaide Football Club is that he has concerns about an incident that happened back in 2021, an infamous incident that happened involving Taylor Walker and Robbie Young.

“Now, I’m making no comment about the club’s handling of that incident, because my memory is that Matthew Nicks, the coach, was shattered by that incident, and the club did everything they could to get around Robbie Young.

“But Wanganeen-Milera has asked, clarified, that Matthew Nicks was the coach at the time, and has indicated that he doesn’t want to go to the Adelaide Football Club.”

However, a short time after Wilson's report, Wanganeen Milera's manager Williams released a statement denying the player had ruled out Adelaide.

“Reports made in the media suggesting that Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has ruled out joining the Adelaide Crows due to comments made by Taylor Walker in 2021 are false," Williams said in a statement to Channel 9 Adelaide.

“Nasiah is currently considering his future and at this stage, no decisions have been made, and any speculation suggesting otherwise is inaccurate.”

Wanganeen-Milera has returned to Melbourne after visiting his family in South Australia during St Kilda's Round 12 bye and will play in the Saints' Round 13 match against the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night.
