On Sunday afternoon at Windy Hill in Melbourne, Essendon will play host to the West Coast Eagles in a Round 2 clash of the 2025 Australian Football League Women's (AFLW) season.

Essendon managed to break into the top eight last season with a record of six wins and four losses. Their Finals series, however, ended just one game in as they lost their Elimination Final to Fremantle. However, they have started their 2025 campaign with an 85-29 win over the GWS Giants.

The Eagles had a very good start to their 2024 home-and-away season as they took home four wins in their opening six games. However, they then suffered five straight defeats to end their campaign as they missed out on qualification to the Finals Series altogether, finishing 13th on the AFLW ladder. They have started the campaign similarly with a 35-20 win over the Gold Coast SUNS.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times, and the latest lineup news.
