AFL Coleman Medal leaderboard: Jack Riewoldt holds off Ben Brown to claim third honour image

Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt has held his lead on top of the Coleman Medal Leaderboard, claiming his third honour as AFL's leading goal scorer.

Riewoldt came into round 23 with a two-goal lead over North Melbourne's Ben Brown, but a strong performance at the MCG extended that to seven.

Brown and the Roos took on St Kilda in the final game of the round, with the big man needing at least eight goals to take out his first Coleman Medal and prevent Riewoldt from adding a third to his collection.

The North Melbourne spearhead fell short of becoming the season's leading goalkicker but with three majors against St Kilda to finish at 61.

Geelong's Tom Hawkins started the round four off the lead but could only manage the two goals in the Cats' big win over Gold Coast.

Sydney's Lance Franklin did pose a threat but a groin injury ruled him out of the clash with the Hawks at the SCG.

Buddy famously kicked 10 goals in the final round last year to snatch the Coleman Medal from West Coast's Josh Kennedy.
