It was a quiet week for the leaders of the  Sporting News Brownlow, as none of the top five polled a vote.

Neither leader Tim Kelly, Lachie Neale, Nat Fyfe or Patrick Dangerfield were able to garner any votes during the week, however, Collingwood's Brodie Grundy grabbed two votes in his sides' loss to GWS on Saturday.

Grundy grabbed 48 hitouts, 31 disposals, had nine tackles and a goal in what was almost a one-man performance as the Pies went down by 47 points to the Giants, meaning he moves to 17 votes for the year.

He would have almost certainly grabbed the three votes had it not been for Jeremy Cameron's six-goal haul, along with 20 touches.

Essendon's Zach Merrett also moved to 17 votes, polling two in his sides' win against Adelaide on Friday.

Merrett had 31 touches and kicked two goals in the Bombers' 21-point win, while Sydney's Luke Parker moved to 16 votes himself, with a 28-disposal game, earning a vote.

Essendon's Mitch Brown earned the three votes in Friday night's clash, while Tom Lynch, Matthew Kennedy, Jeremy Cameron, Jarryd Lyons, Jake Lloyd, Liam Shiels, Bayley Fritsch and Jack Lonie all earned the three votes in their games.
