Harry Garside has scoffed at a $100,000, “winner takes all” offer from Ahmad Reda’s team for the pair to fight in Sydney on Wednesday night.
Garside, 27, is booked to face Charlie Bell on the card at the Hordern Pavilion, while Reda is due to take on Patrick Lilly.
The pair have previously crossed paths in the amateurs, with Garside getting the better of Reda to help him on his way to represent Australia at last year’s Olympics.

While that campaign didn’t go to plan for the southpaw after he was eliminated in the first round in Paris, Garside is now set to resume his professional career, having put together a 3-0 record following his bronze medal heroics at the Tokyo games.
Meanwhile, Sydney’s Reda, 22, has quickly moved to 5-0 in the pros and is desperate for a chance at revenge.
During Monday’s press conference, Reda’s team put forward a fight offer to Garside.
“They told me they put $50,000 on the line for him to fight this Wednesday, winner takes all,” Reda told Sporting News.
“And then they upped it to 100 clips - $100,000 on the line.
“Now they’ve made it clear, we put $100,000 on the line, winner takes all, but he doesn’t want to fight.
“He said he’ll only fight me if I have something he wants.
“Give it a couple more fights, when I have the straps around me, he’s gonna come running to fight me.”
Asked how a second fight would go, this time as professionals, Reda is fully confident in turning the tables.
“I don’t see anything special in him, he’s got no punching power, he’s got a very low boxing IQ, I don’t rate him at all,” he said.
“I don’t understand why he’s sitting on the top table. It doesn’t make sense to me.
“He won’t last more than six rounds, I promise you that.”
In response, Garside said he wasn’t surprised at the fight-week antics, labelling Reda disrespectful.
“I didn’t expect anything less from Ahmad and his team,” Garside told reporters.
“I’m here to fight Charlie Bell on Wednesday night and I’m sure me and Ahmad will fight in time.
“I’m not against that fight, I’m not running from that fight, it will happen in time, he’s just got to bring something to the table.
“The amount of disrespect I feel like he’s shown myself, even people like George Kambosos, he called George Kambosos out when George has done amazing things for Australian sport.
“At the moment he has nothing I want and I would just be helping his career by my name and, with the disrespect he’s shown, I can’t be bothered doing that.
“I’m a man of my word and [Bell] flew from Queensland to fight and we’re going to get it on on Wednesday night which I’m really excited for.”
Garside and Bell will be chief support to the main event which features world title hopeful Sam Goodman against Cesar Vaca.
