The 2021-23 World Test Championship has reached its business end with India and Australia all set to lock horns in the final of the competition which starts on June 7 at The Oval in London
Australia topped the World Test Championship table this time with 66.67 PCT while India came second with 58.80 PCT.
The top two teams are followed by South Africa, England and Sri Lanka who finished third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Reigning champions New Zealand finished sixth this time with just 38.46 PCT.
As the second campaign of the World Test Championship is about to conclude we take a look at the top run scorers during the 2021-23 cycle.

Who has scored the most runs in WTC 2021-23?
Despite England not being able to make it to the final, their former skipper Joe Root has scored the most runs in the World Test Championship this time.
The talisman British batsman scored 1915 runs in 22 matches at an average of 53.19 and hit eight centuries.

Root is followed by Australian opener Usman Khawaja who has scored 1608 runs. The Southpaw who is featuring in the final against India will have an opportunity to go past Root's tally. He needs to score 308 runs to become the top runscorer of the tournament.
Surprisingly none of the Indian batsmen feature in the list of the top 10 highest runscorers this time. Cheteshwar Pujara is highest scoring Indian in the World Test Championship with 887 runs in 16 matches.
