Following a Week 2 scare, Josh Allen is taking some precautions with his nose.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback was seen rushing to the sideline as blood ran from his nose after taking a hand to the face during last week's victory over the New York Jets/
While Allen is expected to be fine, fans will notice a new addition to his gear during Week 3: a clear visor on his helmet.

Why is Josh Allen wearing a visor?
Allen is wearing a visor to help protect his nose after taking a shot to that area in Week 2 against the Jets. With the visor, defenders won’t be able to easily hit his face through his helmet the way he was injured last week.
On Tuesday, Allen was seen with his clear visor at practice, telling reporters that he's likely to wear it on "Thursday Night Football" against the Miami Dolphins.

Josh Allen nose injury
Allen left Sunday's game against the Jets after taking a hand right through his facemask and to the top of his nose during a tackle.

While Mitchell Trubisky subbed in for Allen as the reigning MVP went to the sideline with blood rushing from his nose, Allen returned shortly after with gauze stuffed in one nostril to stop the bleeding.
Allen stayed in for the rest of the game, with little concern about his status moving forward.

Postgame, Allen told reporters that "we can breathe, so it's good." But he did have some noticeable bruise marks at the top of his nose, as well as some swelling:

At Tuesday’s practice, Allen sported the new visor to protect his nose. He joked he’s “the third Bosa brother now,” but added that aside from some bruising, he’s fine to play moving forward.
