Chiefs WR depth chart: What Rashee Rice six-game suspension means for Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown image

Rashee Rice has been suspended six games by the NFL. This is the result of his involvement in a high-speed car crash that happened in the offseason near Dallas.

Rice plead guilty to felony charges after driving 119 mph and being involved in a six-vehicle collision. He received a sentence of 30 days in jail and five years probation. Being involved with this lawsuit would be a violation of the Personal Conduct Policy. The NFL has a history of suspending players who violate the policy, and the only question lingering for Rice was how long he would be suspended.

We now have that answer as he is set to re-join the Chiefs in Week 7. Initially, the NFL was going for a 10-12 game suspension, but it came down to six games, and Rice will not appeal the decision.

Rashee Rice

When Rice has been on the field, he has been a nightmare for defenses. He was a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by Kansas City. Rice played his college ball at SMU. He played in 16 games as a rookie and finished with 938 yards and seven touchdowns. Rice played in only four games in 2024 before tearing the meniscus in his knee.

Xavier Worthy

Fans of the other 31 teams groaned as Worthy fell to the Chiefs with the 28th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He had just set the record for the fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Worthy showed off his speed as a rookie, finishing with 639 yards and six touchdowns.

Marquise Brown Jr.

"Hollywood" has bounced around the league. He spent the first three years of his career with the Ravens, but was then traded to the Cardinals. After Arizona let him walk in free agency in 2024 he signed with Kansas City. Brown suffered a pre-season injury that sidelined him all but two games of the season. He has played in 74 career games with 3,735 yards with 28 touchdowns.

JuJu Smith-Schuster

Smith-Schuster was with the Chiefs when they won the Super Bowl in 2023. He then left for New England, but came right back for the 2024 season. Even with injuries to Rice and Brown, he couldn't find much work in the offense. Smith-Schuster played in 14 games and had only 231 yards and two touchdowns.

Jalen Royals

Royals is a rookie in 2025. He was a fourth round pick and played his college ball at Utah State. While he played 12 games as a sophomore in 2022, he didn't log any stats. In 2023, Royals played in 13 games and had 1,080 yards and 15 touchdowns. He finished his college career with 834 yards and six touchdowns last year.

Tyquan Thornton

Thornton was drafted by the Patriots with a second-round pick in 2022. He was expected to provide a boost to the New England wide receiver room, but couldn't ever get on the same page as his quarterback. After a rookie season with 247 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games, he responded with only 91 yards and no scores in 2023 and 47 yards with still no trips to the endzone last year.

Thornton was cut by the Patriots and signed by the Chiefs in the offseason.

Skyy Moore

If you were wondering where Moore was, he is no longer on the Chiefs. He was traded to the 49ers in the preseason.
