The fight produced a number of talking points, including a flying knee from Silva that seemingly knocked Bisping out right before the bell, a premature cage-climb victory celebration and showboating aplenty.
However, most surprising was the outcome of the fight, a controversial unanimous decision win for Bisping.
The Brit controlled the bout early on, grinding out the first two rounds, but he was convincingly beaten in the last two, and round three saw him knocked partially unconscious.
The London crowd even booed their countryman following the decision.
Controversy aside, here's the reaction from UFC greats and celebrities alike...
Former UFC middleweight Champion and rival of Silva, Chris Weidman believed the outcome was questionable...
Wow! Good for Bisping but thought Anderson had last 3 rounds. He deserved it if you base it on complete effort.

I have Bisping 3-2, Anderson played a bit too much and Mike was very focused. Let’s see how judges see it
