Brisbane Broncos finals hero Ben Hunt has declared he would give up the No.7 jersey for captain Adam Reynolds, with the veteran playmaker expected to be cleared for the Broncos’ NRL preliminary final blockbuster.
According to CODE Sports, Reynolds is on track to return for Brisbane’s grand-final qualifier at Suncorp Stadium next week, where the Broncos will face either Penrith Panthers or Canterbury Bulldogs.
His recovery gives coach Michael Maguire a major NRL selection dilemma.
Maguire will monitor both Reynolds and Hunt closely during training over the next two weeks.

In the wake of his match-winning performance at Canberra’s GIO Stadium, Hunt showed his team-first mentality, making it clear there would be no ego involved in the decision.
“If ‘Reyno’ [Adam Reynolds] is fit, he has to come back into the side,” Hunt said.
“There’s no doubt about it for me. I will happily step aside for him.”
