Brisbane pieced together four wins on the bounce as they successfully recovered from the loss of Selwyn Cobbo, Ezra Mam and Adam Reynolds to finish in fourth spot on the ladder during the regular season.
Their late charge earned them a trip to the nation's capital to take on Canberra in a qualifying final that turned out to be an all-time classic as Michael Maguire's side toppled the minor premiers.
The Broncos then continued their dream run in the finals when they mounted another late comeback to bring an end to Penrith's dynasty. They now have the premiership within their grasp as they prepare to take on Melbourne in the decider.

Broncos latest team news:
Brisbane continued their remarkable run in the finals with another stirring comeback to bring an end to Penrith's premiership dynasty.
The Broncos found themselves 14-0 down at the break, but managed to claw their way back before the returning Adam Reynolds booted them to the win from the sidelines.
Michael Maguire has made the decision to stick strong with his halves combination that started against the Panthers, naming Ben Hunt in the No.6 jersey.
Ezra Mam returned from a hamstring injury via the bench last week and looked lively. He will have to settle for a role off the pine once again in the GF.
Patrick Carrigan returns in a major boost for the underdogs after he served a one-match ban last week. The Queensland forward will start at lock and pushes Tyson Smoothy to the bench.
Ben Talty is the unlucky man to miss out in the 17, with the forward losing his place as part of the forward rotation.
Xavier Willison made an impressive return from a long-term arm injury against Ivan Cleary's outfit and will be expected to make an impact off the bench once again after avoiding a suspension for dangerous contact.
Selwyn Cobbo is fit and available after recovering from a hamstring injury, although the flyer hasn't been able to dislodge either Josiah Karapani or Deine Mariner for a spot on the wing.
Jesse Arthars will also be forced to watch on from the sidelines as well after losing his place in the team during the latter stages of the regular season.
