Adam Doueihi’s future is again in the spotlight, with the St George Illawarra Dragons making a serious move to lure the versatile Wests Tigers star across for 2026 and beyond.
As reported in the Daily Telegraph, the Red V have reportedly tabled a two-year contract offer to the 26-year-old, who has become a key contributor for the Tigers after a long run of injuries.
While the Tigers are believed to be open to extending Doueihi’s stay, their current offer stands at just one year, leaving them vulnerable to losing yet another player who has been in impressive form of late, fitting in seamlessly at lock after stints in the halves and centres for much of his black and gold career.
Having already farewelled young spine talents Lachlan Galvin and Tallyn Da Silva this season, Wests fans will be hoping the club digs deeper to retain Doueihi’s services, who has not only been a consistent performer but developed into a senior leader within the Tigers.

The Lebanese international has shown his value across multiple positions, including recent success as a ball-playing lock where his kicking game has provided critical support to marquee playmaker Jarome Luai.

He also delivered a reminder of his match-winning ability recently, slotting a clutch field goal to sink the Titans in golden point, and despite seemingly being around forever, is still just 26 years old with his best years ahead of him.
The Dragons have long held interest in Doueihi, and after missing out previously, are now pushing hard to secure him — especially with Jack de Belin departing for Parramatta at season’s end and their lock position wide open.
Doueihi’s versatility could be a huge boost for Shane Flanagan, giving the Dragons cover across the backline, halves and lock — and potentially solving the issue of carrying both Damien Cook and Jacob Liddle in the 17 without a utility.
With Cronulla’s Daniel Atkinson set to arrive next year and expected to start in the halves, Doueihi could either join him there or provide much-needed strike and playmaking punch through the middle.
His injury history remains a consideration, but 2025 has been his most consistent season in years, already notching 18 appearances and on track to break his personal record of 20 games in a season.
The Dragons aren’t done there, also reportedly circling former club favourite Josh Kerr, who has attracted interest from both St George Illawarra and English club Warrington.
Kerr’s potential return would reunite the 29-year-old prop with the club he debuted for and offer further size and experience to Flanagan’s developing pack.
The demand for Doueihi is also only growing, with previous reports linking him to the Panthers. The coming weeks could be pivotal for the Tigers, who now squarely have the ball in their court to retain Doueihi — and the clock is now ticking.
