Lachie Galvin is unquestionably a supreme talent, but can he go to the next level with the current crop of Bulldogs players?

With the Bulldogs on their final chance against the surging Panthers, the weight of expectation is almost entirely resting squarely on the shoulders of Canterbury’s young pivot and, although surrounded by representative-quality players, he’s missing one key ingredient to unlock his game.

"Lachie is a moments-type player,” 2015 Five-Eighth of the Year Blake Austin said on this week’s Real or Ridiculous. “He’s not looking to play sequences, he’s scanning and looking for opportunities. At the moment the Dogs pack isn’t big enough to show him opportunities and get Lachie those looks.”

“Unless they can get a couple of enforcers for Lachie, I struggle to see how Lachie’s game will improve much.
