Manly Sea Eagles team list, latest squad news for Round 27 image

Manly still have a very slim hope of reaching the finals but are relying on various favours from other teams in order to make the top-eight.

The Sea Eagles must win and win well against New Zealand, while also hoping for the Sydney Roosters to be battered by South Sydney and for the Dolphins to lose to a severely weakened Canberra.

It's an extreme long shot that is unlikely to eventuate, with Daly Cherry-Evans set to bring the curtain down on his career on the Northern Beaches in disappointing fashion.

Sea Eagles latest team news:

Manly are still a mathematical chance of making the finals, but they must rely on the Roosters and Dolphins losing, while they win this week and complete a significant turnaround in the points differential.

Tolutau Koula has been in stellar form, but saw his season come to an end against the Dragons after he suffered an MCL injury.

Aaron Schoupp replaced him off the bench last week but has dropped to 18th man this week, with Clayton Faulalo preferred to start in the centres from the start.

Joey Walsh has been close to making his debut for the past few weeks and the teenager has been brought onto the bench to serve as the utility option.

The likes of Reuben GarrickHaumole Olakau'atu, Taniela Paseka and Jake Trbojevic are confined to the casualty ward.

UPDATE:

Tof Sipley was named ahead of his trip to the judiciary as he attempted to downgrade a charge. However, the forward was unsuccessful and copped a four-match ban. Schoupp has been added to the bench in his place.
