The Brisbane Broncos have confirmed that forward Patrick Carrigan has accepted an early guilty plea for a Grade 2 careless high tackle from Sunday’s NRL Qualifying Final win over the Canberra Raiders.

Following a detailed review of match footage and consultations with the club’s legal team and football department, Carrigan chose not to contest the charge.

As a result, he will miss the NRL Preliminary Final on Sunday, September 28.

The winner of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs vs Penrith Panthers semi-final clash will head to Suncorp to face the Broncos for a chance to play in the Grand Final.
