Victor Radley has unexpectedly been drawn into the legal case surrounding South Sydney hooker Brandon Smith in relation to drug supply allegations that has seen the Rabbitohs hooker charged.
It has been reported by CODE Sports that Radley had been linked to allegations made against his former teammate by Queensland police and an alleged summons issued to appear in court.
However, Radley’s management have denied knowing of any summons for Radley or links to the Brandon Smith case in a statement to CODE Sports.
There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Radley, and police have not stated he is the subject of any part their investigation.
Smith’s lawyer confirmed that another player had been mentioned in the summons but declined to go into further detail, stressing that these remain only allegations at this stage.

Smith has been charged with supplying dangerous drugs as well as a separate charge relating to the use or disclosure of inside knowledge for betting purposes.
He has already indicated through his legal team that he intends to contest both charges, as he fights to clear his name with more details emerging each day.
South Sydney have stood by Smith despite the charges and confirmed he will be available for selection in their final game of the season and are defiant amidst calls for him to be stood down following the alleged scandal.
The allegations have come at a delicate time for both clubs, with the Rabbitohs set to face the Roosters in the last round of the year in what could be a decisive clash for the Roosters finals hopes adding another chapter to one of the oldest rugby league rivalries.
Smith only joined South Sydney mid-season after leaving the Roosters, meaning this looming clash will be the first time he takes on his old club since the switch.
