Manly Sea Eagles star fullback Tom Trbojevic is reportedly considering a two-year Super League deal with Warrington Wolves following a breakdown in contract extension negotiations with his NRL club.
Trbojevic had initially been ready to reject overseas interest after verbally agreeing to a three-year extension worth around $2.55–$2.7 million, which would have kept him at Manly until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
However, the 28-year-old was left frustrated after believing the Sea Eagles had restructured their offer, effectively reducing the total value by approximately $300,000.
This shift prompted his management to reopen discussions with several Super League clubs, including Warrington, over the weekend.

According to The Herald, Warrington has now tabled a lucrative two-year contract to make Trbojevic their marquee signing from 2027.
While the Wolves’ proposal is financially smaller than Manly’s revised offer, reports suggest money is not Trbojevic’s main motivation.
Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov reportedly reached out to Trbojevic on Sunday, just before the fullback departed for Bali with his partner to clarify the club’s position.
Mestrov blamed a communication breakdown between himself and Trbojevic’s agent, Paul Sutton, assuring the star there was no intent to disrespect him by restructuring the deal.
Manly has since adjusted its proposal, offering a three-year deal valued between $850,000 and $900,000 per season, a significant reduction from Trbojevic’s current $1.1 million salary.
The revised terms reflect both his injury history and a potential positional change to accommodate emerging talent Lehi Hopoate.
Trbojevic initially agreed to sign pending board approval but was later informed the final figures would be $900,000 in 2027, $800,000 in 2028, and $700,000 in 2029, a further drop that reignited his interest in a Super League move.
Despite his frustration, Trbojevic remains firm that he does not want to join another NRL club.
His management continues to hold talks with Warrington Wolves about a potential switch when his current Manly contract expires at the end of the 2026 NRL season.
