The New Zealand Warriors have reportedly been granted formal permission by the Gold Coast Titans to negotiate with star winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira.

According to CODE Sports, the Titans contacted the Warriors earlier this week to approve the process for Khan-Pereira to join their NRL rivals in 2026.

The 23-year-old is contracted to the Titans until the end of 2026, but Josh Hannay and the new-look front office have begun their clean out of the organisation.

The incoming Gold Coast coach has also reportedly considered releasing centre Brian Kelly and forward David Fifita.

Khan-Pereira has built his reputation on his speed and finishing abilities, scoring 53 tries in 54 NRL games.

Born in New South Wales, Khan-Pereira moved to the Gold Coast at age nine, attending Keebra Park State high school and developing through the Titans pathways.

He debuted in first grade in 2023, instantly imposing his try-scoring abilities and becoming a breakout star for the club.

In 2024, Khan-Pereira finished as the NRL's top try-scorer with 24 four-pointers, becoming the first Gold Coast player to earn the achievement.

This past season, due to injury and form, the speedster fell out of favour with Des Halser - only playing 10 games.

With Warriors' approval now secured, Khan-Pereira could be revitalised in New Zealand, where he will join a stacked backline which includes Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.
