South Africa will look to whitewash Australia in the ODI series when they clash against each other in the final match on Sunday.

With two back-to-back disappointing batting performances, Australia lost the ODI series against the Proteas when they suffered another humiliating defeat in the second match by 84 runs. Except for Josh Inglis (87 off 74), no other batter stood up while chasing a total of 278 runs.

South Africa, meanwhile, registered their fifth consecutive ODI series victory over Australia. They defeated Australia by 84 runs in the second match, thanks to the resilient half-centuries from Matthew Breetzke (88 from 78) and Tristan Stubbs (74 from 87). Then Lungi Ngidi (5 for 42) wreaked havoc on Aussies with his lethal bowling spell.

Australia vs. South Africa 3rd ODI predicted XIs, team news

With the series already gone, Australia will look to experiment with their playing XI in the final ODI match.

Matthew Kuhnemann and Cooper Connolly, who are still warming the bench, can be brought in for the final match. They can step in for Josh Hazlewood and Aaron Hardie. Hazlewood could be rested, keeping his workload in mind for the upcoming Ashes series, while Hardie's form is a matter of concern.

On the bowling front, Xavier Bartlett replaced Ben Dwarshuis in the second match, who was given a rest. He will return for the final match. Nathan Ellis continued to be the second supporting pacer in the playing XI. Australia can opt for either two spinners or three full-time pacers for the final match.

Australia predicted XI: Mitchell Marsh (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis (wk), Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Cameron Green, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Travis Head, Matt Kuhnemann, Adam Zampa.

As for South Africa, they don't have any major injury concerns going into the final match. Temba Bavuma was given a much-needed rest due to workload management, and Aiden Markram took the leadership duties.

Matthew Breetzke has been phenomenal in the lower order, taking the responsibilities on his shoulders. He scored back-to-back half-centuries in the series, becoming the first player in the men's ODI history to score 50s in his first four ODI matches.

Kagiso Rabada will remain the only confirmed absentee, who has been ruled out due to an ankle injury. The Nandre Burger and Lungi Ngidi duo has been phenomenal; the fast bowling pair has scalped 11 wickets total in just two matches.

Senuran Muthusamy replaced Prenelan Subrayen in the final match; the latter was reported for a suspect bowling action in the first match. He will now need to get clearance to get featured in international cricket.

South Africa predicted XI: Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma (c), Ryan Rickelton (wk), Nandre Burger, Senuram Muthusamy, Wiaan Mulder, Tristan Stubbs, Keshav Maharaj, Dewald Brevis, Lungi Ngidi, Matthew Breetzke.
