PointsBet Invitational 2022: Dates, time, schedule and how to watch the Canadian curling event image

Curling is finally back. The 2022-23 Canadian curling season kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 21 with the 2022 PointsBet Invitational, featuring 32 total teams from across Canada to compete.

This is the inaugural tournament for the event. The competition features 16 of the best men's teams in the country and 16 of the best women's squads.

The format of the tournament differs from others. Instead of playing in a round-robin, and then advancing to the knockout stage, the PointsBet Invitational is single elimination. The field will be cut down from 16 to eight to four to two and then finally, a champion will be crowned.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2022 PointsBet Invitational.

When is the 2022 PointsBet Invitational?

This tournament began on Wednesday, Sept. 21, with the finals set to take place on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The Sweep 16 will run for the first two days, followed by the Elite 8 on Friday, Sept. 23, the Final Four on Saturday, Sept. 24 and the finals on Sunday, Sept. 25.

What channel is the 2022 PointsBet Invitational?

The 2022 PointsBet Invitational will be on TSN for the entire tournament.

Fans can either watch live on TSN, or stream the competition on TSN.ca or on the TSN app.

Where is the 2022 PointsBet Invitational taking place?

The tournament is hosted in Fredericton, N.B. at the Willie O'Ree Place. It is the first time the city has hosted the event, as it is the inaugural tournament.
