The AL Wild Card Series continues Wednesday as the Tigers try to lock up a trip to the Division Series with another win against the Guardians.

While Cleveland contributed to and benefited from Detroit's stunning September collapse that led to the Guardians winning the AL Central and hosting these games, it was the Tigers who came out on top in the opener.

Tarik Skubal, facing Cleveland for a third consecutive start, turned in a breathtaking performance with 14 strikeouts in a Game 1 win for Detroit.

The Tigers will give the ball to Casey Mize for Game 2 with a chance to move on and face the Mariners if they prevail again. On the other side, Tanner Bibee gets the call to try and keep Cleveland's season alive.
