The Milwaukee Bucks have one goal heading into the 2025-26 NBA season.

Improve the roster around two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, or risk losing his faith in the team that drafted him.

They got off to a good start in free agency, adding former Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner on a four-year $108.9 million contract, but they still need some more pieces if the Bucks are going to compete in the Eastern Conference this season.

Bucks Trade Idea Lands Immanuel Quickley from the Raptors

Ethen Hutton of Sports Illustrated proposed a trade that would do just that, which features the Bucks shedding salary and acquiring a new point guard to run the offense and take over the departed Damian Lillard’s role.

Milwaukee Bucks receive: Immanuel Quickley

Immanuel Quickley, a former New York Knicks guard and current Toronto Raptor, would be a perfect addition for the Bucks, who currently have no true point guard on the roster other than Cole Anthony.

“Milwaukee’s front office is somewhat backed into a corner where Antetokounmpo is concerned. The team is attempting to retool quickly to entice the two-time MVP to remain with the Bucks,” wrote Hutton.

“Adding a player like Quickley reinforces such a notion. The trade also fills a massive void at point guard previously left by Lillard, who the team parted ways with to afford Turner’s contract.”

Quickley, a former Sixth Man of the Year runner-up, would provide instant offense on a team that could use it.

While the former Kentucky product hasn’t played over 40 games in a season since arriving in Toronto, a change of scenery and a consistent starting position would benefit the 26-year-old, who has been stuck on a tanking team since being traded from the Knicks.

With the added bonus of Milwaukee parting with Kyle Kuzma, you would be hard-pressed to find a Bucks fan who wouldn’t be a fan of this hypothetical trade.
