On Tuesday, the CBS television network announced their top three broadcast teams for their 2025 college football coverage via the CBS Sports PR page on X, which will feature action from the Big Ten, Mountain West, Pac-12 conferences and Service Academy games, highlighted by the annual Army/Navy game on Dec 13.
This season will be the 20th and final for Gary Danielson as the primary college football analyst for the network before current NFL on CBS analyst Charles Davis steps in the booth beginning next season to call games with primary play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler.

Per Stanford football's website, Rich Waltz (Play-By-Play), Logan Ryan (Analyst) and Tiffany Blackmon (Sideline Reporter) have the call of CBS' first game of the season as the Stanford Cardinal from the Atlantic Coast Conference travel to Honolulu for a primetime showdown against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, Saturday at 7:30 pm ET, also streaming on Paramount+.
The Big Ten slate of action kicks off on Aug. 30 at 3:30 pm ET with the No. 2 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions hosting the Nevada Wolfpack with Nessler (PxP), Danielson (Analyst) and Jenny Dell (Sidelines) on the call from Beaver Stadium in University Park, PA on CBS and also streaming on Paramount+.
Chris Lewis (PxP), Ross Tucker (Analyst) and Brandon Baylor (Sidelines) will also call select games throughout the season on CBS, being pooled with the secondary crew for games and/or calling CBS Sports Network college football contests.
