The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to pull out a win in Week 3 against the New England Patriots. It was the first time they had won in New England since November of 2008.
Pittsburgh's offense was sloppy in the game, contributing just 203 total yards. But the defense was able to force five turnovers that ultimately helped the Steelers get over the hump and come out with the win.
It was also the NFL debut for 2025 first-round pick, Derrick Harmon from Oregon.
Derrick Harmon joins elite group of Steelers legends in debut
After returning from an MCL sprain he suffered in the team's preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers, Derrick Harmon was limited to playing in 35 defensive snaps.
This didn't stop the Oregon prospect from making a difference in the game, finishing with two total tackles and his first career sack.
He was the first rookie defenseman to record a sack in his debut for the Steelers since T.J. Watt did it in 2017.
According to Steelers Depot's Alex Koxora, other notable Steelers' rookies who posted a sack in their NFL debut were Bud Dupree (2015), Joey Porter (1999), Gerald Williams (1986), and Keith Willis (1983).
Harmon, 22, will look for an increase in his workload as the Steelers travel to Dublin, Ireland, to take on an injury-riddled Minnesota Vikings team in Week 4.
