The Baltimore Ravens lost in heartbreak fashion in Week 1 to the Buffalo Bills, and will now gear up to host the Cleveland Browns in their home opener. Ahead of that, though, the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders kicked off Week 2 around the league.
The Packers acquired star edge rusher Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys at the end of August, and he has made a huge impact in the first two games of the season, helping Green Bay start 2-0. He spoke after the Packers' win, and sent an obvious message to the Ravens, whose defense struggled.
"As y'all seen against Baltimore and Buffalo, you could have a quarterback damn near have a perfect game, but still lose because guess what, the defense gave up 40 points," Parsons said. "Defense wins championships."
The Ravens gave up 22 fourth-quarter points in the loss to Buffalo and lost despite scoring 40 points.
