The Detroit Lions have an injury concern with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to start the week.
According to the Lions' official injury report, St. Brown is listed with a wrist issue and was deemed a non-participant at practice on Wednesday.
While it's always concerning to see a star player pop up on the injury report, it is far too early to panic about his Week 6 status, and for multiple reasons.
St. Brown is one of the toughest players in the NFL and it will take a lot for him to not play. Adding to that, St. Brown could roll out of bed on Sunday without having practiced all week and still suit up and drop 100 and a touchdown.
Throughout his four-plus years in the NFL, St. Brown has only missed two games. He has played through injuries before and even gutted it out while battling hand, foot and mouth disease.
Like we said, he's as tough as they come.
That said, it never hurts to start thinking ahead just in case the unthinkable happens and St. Brown doesn't play.
Jameson Williams would be in line for a monster target share if St. Brown doesn't go, and rookie Isaac TeSlaa would also be a big beneficiary of the Lions' No. 1 wideout's absence.
With Wednesday in the books, we'll turn our attention to Thursday, when the Lions put out their next injury report.
