The Los Angeles Rams had a very active offseason. They moved off Super Bowl hero Cooper Kupp, who signed with the Rams' division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams signed future Hall of Fame wide receiver Davante Adams, and according to head coach Sean McVay, very nearly signed his good friend at quarterback.
Appearing on Good Morning Football, McVay revealed that the Rams very nearly struck a deal with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is now the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers, of course, is very close friends with Adams, as the two spent eight seasons together in Green Bay with the Packers and then reunited during the 2024 season when the Jets traded for the star wideout from the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Rams very nearly moved off Matthew Stafford, as the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers had real interest in adding the Super Bowl winning quarterback. After a lot of speculation, though, the Rams and Stafford reached an agreement to keep him in Los Angeles. However, it is quite interesting to think about Rodgers and Adams staying together and joining the Rams together.
