Giants' James Hudson sets unwanted record with four penalties on opening drive vs Cowboys image

It was a wild opening drive, arguably one of the most chaotic and penalty-plagued starts many have seen during the New York Giants' Sunday matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Giants offensive lineman James Hudson has now set an unwanted NFL record by committing four penalties.

The infractions included two 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalties and two 5-yard false starts, all happening on the Giants' very first drive.

Reportedly, he has become the first NFL player this century to be called for four penalties on a single drive. The penalties drew visible frustration from Giants coach Brian Daboll, who decided to bench Hudson shortly after the sequence.

Hudson appeared visibly upset after being benched, engaging in intense conversations with teammates and coaches on the sidelines as he tried to process the moment.
