The Texans will host the Buccaneers for the Week 2 matchup of the 2025 NFL season at NRG Stadium in Houston -- first clash of the Monday night doubleheader.

The Buccaneers joined the Eagles as the only two teams to win each of their season opener in the last five seasons. Tampa Bay edged out NFC South division rivals Falcons 23-20 in Week 1 as they look to start 2-0 in the season for the fifth campaign in a row.

The Texans have an elite defense with two edge rushers, Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter, who hit double digits in sacks last year. But their offense remains a concern after a 14-9 loss to the Rams.

With injuries to guard Ed Ingram, tackle Cam Robinson, and a serious blow to center Jake Andrews, the Houston defense crumbled against the Rams' pass rush. Quarterback C.J. Stroud was sacked three times and hit seven times, though he managed to complete 9 of 10 passes for 102 yards under pressure.
