After seeing what Aaron Rodgers did in his Pittsburgh Steelers debut in Week 1, we couldn't wait to see what franchise legend Terry Bradshaw was going to say about it.

That's because Bradshaw was quite vocal about his disdain for the Steelers waiting on Rodgers during the offseason.

You may or may not remember (you probably do) Bradshaw's clear frustration with the waiting game and him urging Rodgers to "go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there."

"That's a joke. That is, just to me, is a joke," Bradshaw said in a radio interview with 103.7 The Buzz in Arkansas in May. "What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there."

So far, Rodgers has proven he was worth the wait. He completed 22-of-30 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns in the 34-32 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Here's what Bradshaw had to say about Rodgers' performance on 103.7 The Buzz:

What Terry Bradshaw said about Aaron Rodgers

“I thought he played great. I thought he moved well. Four touchdown passes, I just hope he keeps playing like that. As good as Aaron was, was as bad as the defense was. I was shocked by that. Jalen Ramsey comes over at corner, I thought they would play much better. Looks like it was a good move for Pittsburgh. We’ll see as the season progresses. I don’t think Aaron played poorly at all. I never have thought that. You give him time and some weapons and they could be something special.”

Good on Bradshaw for not letting what he has said in the past get in the way of his analysis of Rodgers, which was spot on.

The 41-year-old signal-caller looked like his vintage self on Sunday. He moved well in the pocket and there was plenty of accuracy and zip on his throws. It has been a long time since we've seen quarterback play like that in Pittsburgh.

If Rodgers can continue playing like that, the Steelers are going to have a shot to make some noise in 2025. However, the defense, rushing attack and the offensive line have got to improve, also.
