The Anaheim Ducks have massive cap space and are one of the favorites to give Maple Leafs free agent Mitch Marner a gigantic contract.
But if they don't get him, they've got alternatives. That's what The Fourth Period revealed in a new report.
They write that if Marner goes elsewhere, John Tavares or Brock Boeser could come to Anaheim.
Tavares is another Toronto free agent, the most veteran option of this trio.
Boeser has been a star for the Canucks, but most reports indicate he'll end up elsewhere this offseason.

The Ducks have done plenty already this offseason.
They hired Joel Quenneville as their new head coach.
They also traded for forward Chris Krieder.
But their biggest move seems like it's still coming.
If the Ducks end up with any of Marner, Tavares or Boeser, it'll be a win for their offseason.
