Bowen Byram remains available, and by the looks of it, a bunch of teams still want the Buffalo Sabres defenseman.
The latest report from TSN's Darren Dreger lists four teams that are involved in trade talks: the Calgary Flames, Vegas Golden Knights, Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues.
Dreger also reports that an offer sheet could be in play, which The Athletic's Chris Johnston adds would come in at around $7 million.
In a rapidly shrinking defenseman market, Byram could wind up being acquired for a big cost.
Byram is a 24-year old native of British Columbia.

He was drafted fourth overall in 2019 by the Avalanche. He spent his first three-and-a-half NHL seasons with Colorado before being moved to Buffalo.
This past season for the Sabres, Byram set a career-high with 31 assists. He also scored seven goals and blocked 116 shots.
The 6-foot-1 lefty should still be getting better, which would be exciting for any acquiring team.
But given that fact, and the market for other defenseman out there, Byram is going to come with a cost. The NHL will wait to see who is willing to pay it.
