The WTA returns to Miami with a star-studded field that is certain to entertain as the tennis season kicks into full gear.

World No. 1 Simona Halep is the tournament's top seed and will face stiff competition from 2018 Australian Open winner Caroline Wozniacki and two-time Grand Slam champion Garbiñe Muguruza, among a laundry list of others. 

Serena Williams, an eight-time winner in Miami, continues her comeback after giving birth to her first child, while her sister Venus looks to improve on a strong performance at Indian Wells that included a win over her younger sibling.

Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, who has recently made headlines  off the court  and  in the courtroom , continued her on-court struggles in Miami.
