Chinese Taipei has an identity, and they never wavered from it on Saturday afternoon against Aruba to advance to the title game at the 2025 Little League World Series.
Left-hander Liu Wei-Heng threw 5.1 brilliant innings, and right-hander Chen Qi-Sheng secured the final two outs to clinch a 1-0 victory for the team from Tung Yuan Little League in the international championship game.
A throwing error in the top of the third inning led to the only run in an incredible pitchers' duel at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pa. Aruba threatened with runners on second and third in the bottom of the sixth, but Qi-Sheng entered and shut the door with a strikeout.

Chinese Taipei, trying to win its record 18th Little League World Series title, will now face the winner of Connecticut vs. Nevada, who are playing in the U.S. championship game. Flame throwing right-hander Lin Chin-Tse, who reached 82 mph with his fastball earlier in the tournament, will start on the mound tomorrow for the Asia-Pacific team.

2:48 p.m. — Pena Caraballo walks, and he's on first as the winning run. The drama build in the bottom of the sixth at Williamsport.
2:47 p.m. — A pitching change for Chinese Taipei. Chen Qi-Sheng is entering to try and get the final two outs.
2:45 p.m. — A passed ball moves Mercado to second, he's now in scoring position.
2:44 p.m. — Wei-Heng, still in the game, dials it up to 72 mph for a strikeout and out number one.
2:42 p.m. — Mercado starts the inning with a base hit. Aruba has the tying run on the base paths.
2:38 p.m. — Arnold Gismar Martha makes a sliding catch at shortstop to end the Chinese Taipei threat in the top of the sixth. Aruba needs one in the bottom of the frame to stay alive.
