NFL Legend calls Angel Reese a liar, says she 'HATES' Caitlin Clark image

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) reacts to a flagrant foul from Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) on Saturday, May 17, 2025, during a game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky, 93-58.

The WNBA's opening day didn't lack headlines...especially surrounding the rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

On Saturday afternoon, Clark and the Indiana Fever walloped Reese's Chicago Sky, 93-58 to kick-off the WNBA's 2025 regular season.

Clark secured a triple-double in the win, scoring 21 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists while Reese did what she does best and continued to prove that she's one of the best rebounders to ever step foot onto a WNBA court, grabbing 17 rebounds while adding 12 points in the loss.

However, the score and even both second-year star's impressive stat lines weren't the story after the game...a flagrant foul from Clark on Reese was on everybody's mind after the final whistle.

Reese clearly didn't like how the play went down and was held back while yelling at Clark following the hard foul, something that caught the eye of former NFL Pro Bowler turned analyst, Robert Griffin III, who took to social media to address the indicent.

"After watching Caitlin Clark's flagrant foul on Angel Reese, and the aftermath, there is no way Angel Reese can continue the lie that she doesn't dislike Caitlin Clark."

The former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback continued to rip into Reese, saying she not only dislikes Clark, but goes as far as to say the former LSU National Champion 'HATES' the reigning WNBA Rookie of The Year.

"I know what hatred looks like, Angel Reese HATES Caitlin Clark, it's not some basketball rivalry hate either...HATE."

The rivalry between Reese and Clark dates back to 2022 when Reese's LSU Tigers defeated Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes in the NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship Game.

In the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark was selected first overall to the Fever, while Reese went seventh overall to the Sky.

Both Reese and Clark were both named WNBA All-Stars during their rookie season, while Clark won the league's Rookie of The Year award, while Reese finished second in voting for the award.
