The 2025 Formula One season has reached the halfway mark, and what better race to hit that milestone at than the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Just like the weather in the U.K., things are hotting up at the top of the World Drivers’ Championship after battle intensified at the Austrian Grand Prix last time out.
Oscar Piastri remains at the top of the leaderboard, just ahead of his McLaren teammate Lando Norris, who came out on top in Austria.
Having had to retire in that race, Max Verstappen has now fallen away from the leading two, while George Russell could only manage a fifth-place finish with Charles Leclerc getting himself on the podium in third in Spielberg.
Will that pack follow up at the iconic Silverstone circuit to battle it out again, or could there be a surprise from elsewhere instead? Let's check out the latest betting...
F1 British GP: Latest odds to win this weekend’s Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton’s record at the British GP is simply phenomenal with the Englishman having won the race in eight of the last 11 years, with only Sebastian Vettel, Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen beside him with a victory in that time.
Even in 2024, with Hamilton finishing seventh in the World Drivers’ Championship, Silverstone was still one of the two races that he won, alongside winning the Belgian Grand Prix.
Hamilton has been off the pace so far this season, but backing him to win at Silverstone for a record-extending 10th time is priced up at 19.00 with Dafabet if you are feeling sentimental.
The joint-favourites, though, are Hamilton’s compatriot, Lando Norris, and the man he will be trying to put the squeeze on at the top of the Drivers’ Standings, Piastri.

F1 British GP: Best bet
Pick: Max Verstappen to win (5.00 with Dafabet)
The four-time champion Dutchman needs a victory to restore some hope of closing down Piastri and Norris at the top of the standings, and he will believe that he has the best chance of anyone.
Vettel is retired and Sainz appears to no longer be a serious threat for this season, so the only man other than Hamilton to win at this venue in the last decade is Verstappen. That history and the fact this circuit suits his driving style alone makes him worthy of consideration.
