The 2025 Women's ODI World Cup is shaping up to be a landmark event with India hosting a majority of the tournament alongside Sri Lanka. But in a major shift, one of the most iconic Indian venues will no longer be part of the competition.

Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium - originally set to host multiple matches including a semi-final and potentially the final, has been replaced. The change comes as the ICC confirmed an updated schedule - moving fixtures to a new venue in Maharashtra.

The ICC has announced that Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium will step in as the fourth Indian venue for the World Cup.

This comes after the Karnataka State Cricket Association failed to secure police clearances to host matches at the Chinnaswamy; following the tragic stampede during RCB's IPL victory parade in June.
