This is the 13th edition of the Women’s World Cup and it all begins on Monday, September 30. With top rivalries and packed stadiums expected, the tournament promises high drama and quality cricket.

The tournament opener saw co-hosts India and Sri Lanka facing off in Bengaluru. The classic India vs Pakistan showdown was scheduled for October 5 in Colombo.

When does the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 start?

The 2025 Women’s World Cup started on September 30 and will end on November 2. The final match will be played either in Colombo or Bengaluru, depending on whether Pakistan qualifies for the title clash.

What is the format of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025?

This year’s Women’s World Cup will follow a single round-robin format. Each of the eight teams will play every other team once. A total of 28 league matches will be played. The top four teams in the standings at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals.

The team that finishes first will take on the fourth-placed team in the first semi-final. The second and third teams will face each other in the second semi-final. The winners of these two semis will move into the grand final, which is scheduled for November 2
