Ravindra Jadeja's batting prowess has come to India's aid on numerous occasions throughout his Test career.

Batting in the lower-middle order, Jadeja has always stepped up in the time of need and added crucial runs with the tailenders.

After coming in to bat at 248/4 at Lord's, Jadeja has once again proven his worth with the bat at number 6 with his third consecutive fifty of the series.

Jadeja scripts career first with 3rd fifty of the series at Lord’s in IND vs ENG Test

The southpaw once again came into the middle in a precarious situation when India had lost Rishabh Pant at the brink of Lunch, followed by KL Rahul's wicket, shortly after the break.

With 254/5 on the board, the 36-year-old once again took the responsibility and got his third consecutive fifty of the series while adding 72 runs for the 6th wicket with Nitish Kumar Reddy.

This was the first time in his Test career that he managed to score three fifties in a single Test series.

At stumps, Jadeja was unbeaten on 72 off 131 balls, having added an unbroken 48-run stand with Washington Sundar for the seventh wicket.

The India number 6 at Lord's also went past Rod Marsh in the list of the visiting batters with most fifty plus scores while batting at number 6 or below.
