India face neighbours Sri Lanka in their third match of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage on Friday, September 25 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

The Men in Blue will aim to make it six wins in a row before heading to the final, where they face Pakistan for the third time in this tournament.

2022 champions, Sri Lanka's campaign in the Asia Cup, on the other hand, is already over after back-to-back losses against Bangladesh and Pakistan. The Lankans will hope to end their tournament on a high and seek their revenge for the 2023 Asia Cup final, where they were humiliated by the Men in Blue.

Sri Lanka will be heartbroken after a brilliant effort, especially from Pathum Nissanka, who smashed a stunning maiden T20I century.

12:23 am: India bowl first in the Super Over and Arshdeep delivers under pressure, conceding just 2 runs. India need just 3 runs to win the match.

What a finish! Both teams now prepare for the Super Over!

12:10 am: We're heading to a Super Over! Sri Lanka finish level with India’s 202, as Shanaka squeezes in a nervy two off the final ball. Harshit Rana nearly sealed it, but a fumble from Axar at long-on allowed the second run.

11:40 pm: Sri Lanka are in a commanding position at 157/2, needing just 46 runs off the final 5 overs. Pathum Nissanka is batting brilliantly on 93 off 49.

11:15 pm: Sri Lanka are cruising at 114/1, chasing 203. Nissanka (61* off 32) and Perera (52* off 27) have stitched a brilliant century stand. With both set, Sri Lanka hold the momentum and are well on track to chase the target.

10:50 pm: Sri Lanka off to a flying start in the powerplay, reaching 72/1 after 6 overs, their highest powerplay score in this Asia Cup. Despite losing Kusal Mendis for a golden duck in the very first over to Hardik Pandya, Pathum Nissanka came out blazing, racing to 47 off just 21 balls. 

10:00 pm: India finish on 202/5 in 20 overs, posting the first 200+ total of the competition. Tilak anchored the innings till the end, finishing unbeaten on 49 off 34, while Axar Patel chipped in with a handy cameo to take India past 200. .

9:33 pm: India at 150/3 after 15 overs. Tilak Varma (33* off 24) and Sanju Samson (33* off 20) are well set. With both batters looking settled, India will look to launch in the final five overs and push past 200.

9:04 pm: Abhishek Sharma and SKY have been dismissed but India reach the 100-run mark after 10 overs.

8:39 pm: India have overcome the early setback as Abhishek Sharma completes yet another fifty. India 71/1 after powerplay.

8:20 pm: Shubman Gill departs early but Abhishek Sharma is going strong. India 36/1 after 3 overs.

8:03 pm: Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill on the crease. Here we go in Dubai!

7:32 pm: Two changes in the India XI as Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana replace Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav. 

7:31 pm: Sri Lanka win the toss and opt to field first.
