Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami didn't hold back as he blasted a journalist for speculating about his future in the Test format.

There have been reports suggesting that the 34-year-old pacer might be considering retirement from the longest format of the game due to repeated injuries.

Virat Kohli became the latest player to retire from the red-ball format after skipper Rohit Sharma's untimely decision last week. Many speculated that Shami might be next in line. The pacer was last seen playing for the Men in Blue in the recently concluded Champions Trophy.
Shami has been through quite a few injuries for the past couple of years, although he has sprung back into action better and more boldly each time out.
Just as reports of Shami considering retirement were doing the rounds, the fast bowler decided to have a say on the matter.

Shami posted the screenshot of an article whose heading read 'Mohammed Shami retirement: After Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Indian Pacer Likely To Bid Adieu To Test Cricket.'
Reacting to the news piece on his Instagram story, Shami wrote, "Well done Maharaj. You should count the days that are remaining in your job, and then ponder into ours. People like you have wasted the future for us. You should say something nice sometimes. This is the most woeful story of the day."
Shami could be next seen featuring for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday, May 19, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground in Ardonamau, Lucknow.
