Touted as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, athletes that India has ever produced, Neeraj Chopra has emerged as an inspiration for many after his heroics in the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games.

The double Olympic medalist, days after breaching the elusive 90m in Doha Diamond League, has picked an Indian cricketer who would become a good Javelin Thrower.

While many players are fit and great athletes in the Indian team, Chopra picked the ace speedster, Jasprit Bumrah, as the best suited cricketer, as someone with the potential to throw well.

Neeraj Chopra picks Jasprit Bumrah as the Indian cricketer to excel in the Javelin:

During one of the segments with Star Sports India recently, on being asked about the best suited cricketer who would do well in Javelin throw, Chopra thought it had to be a speedster who could do well, as he named Bumrah.

"I think it has to be a fast bowler. So, I want to see a fully fit Jasprit Bumrah to throw a Javelin. He would do well," said Chopra.

"I had once trained with DK [Dinesh Karthik] as well. He was very good as well but I want to try it with a pacer," he added.

The world number 1 Javelin after his recent 90.23m throw in Doha, followed by back-to-back titles in Paris Diamond League and Ostrava Golden Spike, is currently promoting the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 scheduled on July 5.
