Former India captain and Board of Control for Cricket in India Sourav Ganguly is set to return as an administrator for the first time since his BCCI tenure ended in 2022.

The 52-year-old filed his nomination to run for the presidency on Sunday, September 14, to replace his brother, Snehashish Ganguly, who had held the post since 2019.

Snehashish had to step down from the position according to the Lodha Committee recommendation of a three-year cooling-off period after working as an administrator for six consecutive years.
