Suryakumar Yadav is leading India in his own cool style at the Asia Cup 2025. After India beat Pakistan once again, he made a strong remark that India vs Pakistan is no rivalry anymore.
Now former cricketer Yograj Singh has praised him, calling Surya a cheerful and wonderful captain who is showing great leadership.

What did Yograj Singh say about Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy?
Yograj Singh, who never hesitates to speak his mind, was full of admiration for the India skipper. He said Suryakumar is always smiling and positive, and even his replies to the press show his funny side.
Yograj recalled Surya’s cheeky reply to a reporter who asked about the Pakistan rivalry, where he pointed out that India is far ahead, almost 10-0 in recent games.
"Suryakumar Yadav is a very nice and cheerful person. Also the replies which he gives to press is next level like he replied to reporter what is our competition against Pakistan, we are 10-0 ahead," Yograj said.

He also added that Suryakumar is leading from the front, keeping his team together, and keeping his cool head, helping India play fearless cricket. In Yograj’s words, he is a “wonderful captain.”
"His attitude is amazing. He is cool captain and takes team with him He is a wonderful captain leading from the front," added Yograj.
What did Suryakumar say about India vs Pakistan rivalry?
After another easy win over Pakistan in the Super 4 stage, Surya clarified that the so-called rivalry is one-sided now.
India chased down 172 in less than 19 overs, showing a big gap between the two sides.

He explained that a rivalry only makes sense if both teams keep winning against each other and the record stays close, like 7-7 or 8-7. But when one team keeps winning, with India currently miles ahead, then it cannot be called a rivalry anymore.
This was India’s seventh straight win against Pakistan in completed white-ball matches since 2022. Their last defeat was in the 2021 T20 World Cup, which makes the current dominance even clearer.
