Mohammed Shami scalped two wickets in his first spell against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to equal Zaheer Khan's record on February 20.

India opened their tournament against Bangladesh in Dubai during the Group B clash where Shami opened the bowling for India.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, the onus was on Shami to take early wickets and the experienced speedster did not disappoint as he dismissed Soumya Sarkar for a duck followed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz later on to take his tally to 71 wickets in ICC white-ball tournaments.
