India's Asia Cup 2025 began with history being made in Dubai, but not the way the home crowd would have liked.
United Arab Emirates were bundled out for just 57 runs in their opening match against India, the lowest-ever total by any team against the Men in Blue in T20 internationals.

What made it more dramatic was the fact that UAE had actually started well, reaching 26 without loss, before Jasprit Bumrah’s perfect yorker broke them apart and the innings fell apart quickly.
How did India’s bowlers create the collapse against UAE?
UAE’s innings went from steady to shocking in a matter of minutes. After opener Alishan Sharafu scored 22 and skipper Muhammad Waseem made 19, the rest of the batting lineup had no answers to India’s bowling attack.
Jasprit Bumrah’s strike was the turning point, and after that the spinners took full control. Kuldeep Yadav was unplayable and finished with stunning figures of 4 wickets for just 7 runs.
AVarun Chakravarthy (1/4 in 2 overs) and Axar Patel (1/13 in 3 overs) ensured that UAE had no chance to recover. From 26/0, they collapsed to 57 all out in just 13.1 overs.
