Fresh off the Indian Premier League title win, Josh Hazlewood is all set to take the field for Australia in the final of the World Test Championship at the Lord's as they look to defend their title.

Hazlewood has been an instrumental part of Australia's success in recent history, across formats and similar has been the case with the recent title for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Often praised for his impeccable lines and lengths as a tall bowler, he will once again be right in the thick of things if he plays the Test match against South Africa.

In the build-up to the much-anticipated final between the table-toppers of the WTC 2023-25 cycle, Hazlewood spoke about how he felt ahead of the 2023 final against India and compared it to the good moment in his career ahead of the 2025 edition.

"I was obviously quite close last time [in 2023]," Hazlewood said. I just had more of an interrupted IPL leading into that, and then had a few little issues going on, so [I] wasn't quite up to scratch, but I feel in a much better place this time around," said Hazlewood.

He also thinks that he is bowling the best over his career at the moment across formats and wants to see how his rather injury-prone body reacts to his goals.

"I think in any format — my numbers over the last two years have been pretty good, so I've got a lot to fall back on in terms of skill-wise. I still feel like I'm bowling probably the best over my career, and it's just a matter of the body holding up, which it has been in the last few months."
